About Co. Waterford Farm Relief Service
Co. Waterford Farm Relief Services was started in 1979 as a farmer co-operative to provide relief operators and services to the farmers of county Waterford. We have grown over the last 30 years to be an integral part of the farming business life of the area.
Farm Services
When our service first commenced, it was mainly to provide relief farm workers to farmers, mainly relief milking. This then developed into providing farm services such as freeze branding, animal hoof care, power washing and tractor driving.
The farmer accident and sickness scheme or MBS provides FRS trained operators to run your farm in the event of injury or sickness, leaving the farmer time to recover and recuperate. Details of this scheme can be got by contacting our office, all farmers under 65 years of age can avail of this scheme.
Fencing
Co. Waterford Farm Relief Services, is one of the leading fencing providers in Ireland to-day. Our experiences covers the most comprehensive range of applications from sport, to residential, to high security fencing. We are familiar with standards required for all E.U., government departments and local authority contracts. Our fence operators are fully trained in fence construction practices, and adhere to the highest safety standards required. Farm Shop
Co. Waterford Farm Relief Service has a purpose built facility at Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford to provide a modern building and spacious area for equipment storage, sales and training facilities. The facility also provides offices for accounts staff, recruitment personnel and a modern reception and display area for sales and services. Co. Waterford Farm Relief also stocks a comprehensive range of wooden gates, with over 20 different styles. All gates are factory made, pressure treated with smooth and attractive finish, fitted with elegant ironware. All gates are fully guaranteed, with delivery time 3 to 4 weeks from order.
Training
At our premises at Kilmacthomas provides an ideal location for our health and safety courses. These courses are undertaken by private individuals and companies to comply with the ever increasing awareness on health and safety regulations. Also the courses are done in conjunction with government departments for people who are getting back into the work force.
Farm Recruitment
The Co. Waterford Farm Relief Service also has a farm recruitment section, whose function it is to identify skilled farm operators, and place those people in full time positions on farms. Also the placements company provides the farming people from Ireland with the opportunity with going to New Zealand and being placed on farms there.
Farm Plastic Recycling
Co. Waterford Farm Relief Service also provides for the collection of farm plastics for recycling. This is done in co-operation with other farm relief services in keeping with our commitment to protecting the environment.
