Hi Eoin, I meant to drop you a mail several times but I am very busy. The job is going great, the farm is massive, milking 600 cows. We start at 4.30 am and quiting time is about 6.30 depending on how fast we milk. I bought a 1982 hilux pickup for 1000 bucks the day after I landed at the farm. Staff are very decent and helpful and the boss is a true gentleman. We have two daily breaks 9 to 10 for breakfast and 1 to 2 for lunch. Great mix of work from digger driving to fencing etc. Milk price dropping still so I'm lucky to have found a job so thanks to you for that. Enjoying a bottle of heineken here with a great big fire, that's my Sat nite here working in the morn. There are 3 of us in the house here, a French guy and a girl from Argentina so plenty of craic.

I am loving it. You could not meet sounder than the farmer I am with. Bought a jeep today between me and the farmer, he paid $600 and I paid $400 and I can have it til Xmas. When I finish at Xmas it is his then which is sound out. I can go traveling now on my days off. I am milking myself already, he has great trust in me (which is a good thing). The contract was only for 3 months, but that suits me. Best thing I ever done was travel. Nana was very nice, she helped me out when I got there with everything. Thanks for everything anyway.

Well all is going great out here. Working on a farm with 500 cows with a 40 unit Herring bone. Working for an Irish lad from Kerry, sound out. Couldn't be nicer since the day I arrived. Just showed me the ropes for the first 2 days and then left me at it. No hassle once you get into his system.. Hours are pretty mad alright, it doesn't get any easier starting work at 4.30am, especially on a Sunday morning...... Mainly just weeding, spraying and farm maintenance during the day, but before you know it, its time to bring in the cows again. Picked up a car from another Irish lad down the road, which was fierce handy. At least I can come and go as I please in the evenings. Staying here until the cows dry off in may, then I'll probably head off and do a bit of travelling. I'll keep you posted.. Thanks for everything.
